All About Me
James W. Young III is a transformative leader and advocate for change. As the Founder of AHHIM, Inc and President of Wounded Healers International (WHI), Neighborhood Benches Director of Engagement aka Violence Interrupter, James has dedicated his life to helping others through his work in mentoring and public speaking. Along with the other organizations he runs and/or support, he gives his time and effort into The Harlem FUND, as the Director of Community Engagement. Here, he places value in working and maintaining relationships with other stakeholders within the community.

James is a graduate of the ITM New School for Transformative Mentoring as a Credible Messenger, the Raising My Voice Public Speaking Academy, and the YCS for Thompson Child and Family Focus Behavior Care Department. With a background in Political Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, James combines his education and experience to address pressing social issues. He is also the author of "How the Hell Did I Get Here," a fictional work that explores his personal journey of life transformation.
