Tmar Gulston
DIRECTOR OF RE-ENTRY SERVICES
All About Me
Tmar Gulston, raised in Harlem, New York, has dedicated his career to supporting underserved populations through re-entry services and case management. Since July 2022, Tmar has served as a Group Facilitator and Senior Case Manager at Access Houses Independent Living, where he supervises a team working with individuals who are mentally ill, chemically addicted, and formerly incarcerated (MICA). In this role, Tmar ensures that clients receive necessary entitlements, creates weekly lesson plans for cognitive rehabilitation, and provides short-term counseling and family referrals.
Before this, Tmar spent nearly eight years as a Re-entry Group Facilitator at the Administration for Children’s Services, where he worked closely with detainees and the NYC Department of Corrections. His work focused on facilitating group curriculums in challenging environments, performing assessments and discharge planning, and providing counseling to enhance detainees' self-esteem and confidence.
Tmar’s commitment to his community is further exemplified by his four-year tenure as the Director of Re-entry Services at the Harlem FUND, where he worked to support individuals reintegrating into society.
